Galaxy S24 Ultra: this would be the first real look at Samsung's new flagship
The first leaked photos of the Galaxy S24 Ultra have come to light and allow us to see the first real look at Samsung's next flagship.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is one of the most anticipated phones of next year and, apparently, the first real photos of the device have been leaked . X (Twitter) user David Martin shared the images a little over a week ago, but they only gained relevance in the last few hours after the renowned leaker Ice Universe confirmed their veracity .
The three photographs that have been released show the back of the upcoming flagship, as well as the flat edges of the screen. The author of the publication did not offer further information about obtaining the material or the characteristics of the phone. Unfortunately, there are no images that show the front of the device in detail.
Of course, the leaked photos of the Galaxy S24 Ultra have generated quite a stir due to the color and finish chosen by Samsung for its flagship. Logically, the device is expected to be offered in different shades, but this particular version will be called titanium gold, according to Ice Universe .

Could this be a confirmation of one of the latest big rumors about the smartphone? This month it was said that Samsung would follow in the footsteps of the iPhone 15 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Pro and offer them with titanium frames . The South Koreans would have been working to incorporate said material for at least two years, according to the information in circulation.
Like any rumor, it is always important to take it with a grain of salt. But considering Samsung's massive history of leaks in the weeks or months leading up to the unveiling of new products, it's impossible not to give at least a sliver of credibility to the photos that have now come to light. Of course, some apparent imperfections in the device's chassis could mean that what is seen in the images is a pre-production version of the Galaxy S24 Ultra, and not the final model that will go on sale.
The first real look at the Galaxy S24 Ultra
If the photos really correspond to the Galaxy S24 Ultra, the exterior changes compared to its predecessor will be very specific . Beyond the hypothetical use of titanium and the implementation of a flat screen, the mobile phone would not stray too far from the design adopted from the Galaxy S22 Ultra.
As a good flagship, the Galaxy S24 Ultra would arrive with an enviable specifications table. According to the data that has been leaked so far, it would include a Dynamic AMOLED screen with QHD+ resolution. Under the hood, meanwhile, it would introduce the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 . Although it was curious that during the presentation of this chip, Qualcomm did not include Samsung in the initial list of manufacturers that would adopt it.
The truly notable thing about the Galaxy S24 Ultra would be in the cameras section. It is speculated that it will include a 200 MP main sensor, a 12 MP ultra-wide angle, a 50 MP telephoto lens and a 10 MP periscope lens. However, not everything would be rosy. According to Ice Universe, Samsung's software would not be delivering the desired results. This would be reflected in very poor quality photos when using the telephoto in 10x mode.
Problems with the telephoto lens?
"The bad news is that the new telephoto camera on the Galaxy S24 Ultra is having some problems. The current version of the software is close to the final version, but the photos taken at 10x are pure noise. Please be mentally prepared," posted the leaker on X (Twitter) . Although, contradictorily, he stressed that Samsung would not be entirely sure if it would be a software problem or if the sensor would fail. "The image quality at 5x is good, but at 10x it is disastrous. This problem is difficult to solve. It is not clear whether it is a software or hardware problem," he said.
For now, we will have to be patient. According to a recent report from The Elec , Samsung will present the new Galaxy S24, S24+ and S24 Ultra on January 17 . The curious thing is that the company would hold an in-person event in San José, California ; that is, about 15 minutes from Cupertino, the home of Apple. Generally, South Korean performances in the United States are in New York. Reservations for the new mobile phones would open on January 18, while the first deliveries would be made between the 26th and 30th of that month.
