"Tumblr Removes a Revenue-Generating Option from Its Platform"

Tumblr is discontinuing its Post+ feature, which allowed creators to monetize their content through subscriptions for exclusive access.

This change will be implemented starting December, with the removal of the option to enable Post+ on blogs.

By 2024, both the creation and access to such subscriptions will be eliminated. Importantly, existing posts under this subscription will not be deleted but will become private.

Creators can choose to make them public or delete them, while subscribers can continue viewing these posts until January 2024.

Users who subscribed via iOS need to manually cancel to avoid future charges, but others will be automatically unsubscribed without charges.
