Until now, if a user wants to see the information you have added to your profile, they have to click on the avatar to go to this section. So, if a person who is in a conversation with you wants to see your profile information, he has to leave the chat

WhatsApp wants to modify this detail by allowing profile information to be visible in conversations. And to do this, this information will be displayed in the place where the time of the last time you were connected is displayed.

How the new WhatsApp feature will work

However, there are several details to take into account. For example, this information will be displayed within the chat only when the user is offline. And no, it will not replace the "last time" data, but rather it will alternate with the information from your profile.

While it seems like a minor change, this will allow your contacts to quickly see any changes you make to this information, without them having to go to that specific section. At the moment, it is only a test, so we will still have to wait to see it in the stable version of WhatsApp.
